Project

Sustainable Access to Food and Economic Security (SAFES)

Description

The SAFES project aims to improve the food and economic security of the Palestinian population in the Jenin District through the encouragement of appropriate, sustainable livelihoods and increased self-reliance.  Inherent in this are economically, environmentally, and culturally sound practices that are appropriate for small-scale farming.  The project strives to increase the level of meat and dairy production in the area, improve crop diversity, and improve water and land management.
