Economic Development Unit

Objective is to assist 2,500 farm households with tractor plowing and seeds.  Additionally, an estimated 1,500 farmers will receive training in farming practices that are designed to increase land productivity and make the most of limited rainfall and short growing seasons.  Approximately 2,500 vulnerable households—48.4% headed by women—will benefit from CARE’s interventions, totaling 12,500 (based on an average of five people per household).
